Tuesday Shoesday

I’m absolutely obsessing over this bride. Or brides, I should say. They are total stunners, and I pored over every image of this wedding found on Style Me Pretty.

I have a special place in my heart for marriage equality, and when said weddings are this gorgeous? Well, it’s twice as amazing.

Does it get any more glamorous than that?

Her shoes? Perfection too.

And because I can’t resist, a shot of both the beautiful brides at the altar.

Same love.

Menu Mondays

I am having a serious case of the Mondays. My older brother and I ran the Heroes 1/2 Marathon (picture above is before the race started, wearing the shirts I designed in honor of the Boston Marathon victims) in Everett yesterday, and both my brain and body seem to be unable to function properly since. Take last night, for instance, when I left my entire purse at Chipotle and didn’t even realize until 8 AM this morning when I’m on my way out the door for work. Seriously, who does that?

Apparently, I do.

So this week, I’ll be taking it a little easier in the kitchen until I’ve fully recovered from the beating I gave my body yesterday. And in a few days, I’ll probably¬† forget how much I hate running and sign up for the next race.

Without further ado, here is this week’s menu…

Monday: I was too wiped yesterday to have a proper celebratory drink, so…you guessed it —¬† happy hour!

Tuesday: Fish tacos with homemade tortillas. Again. Seriously, these are in my weekly rotation — I can’t get enough. I’ve come up with some new variations of salsa and guacamole too, so I’ll be sure to share.

Wednesday: Pecan-crusted chicken wraps with strawberry honey mustard — planning to double the recipe and use for lunch leftovers.

Thursday: Salmon with blueberry BBQ sauce — I never quite got around to this last week. Oops.

Friday: Cinco de Mayo celebration at work!

Finally, some Monday morning inspiration for you:

Don’t wait.

Friday Faves: Spring Essentials

Let’s pretend I didn’t just use the phrase “spring essentials”. Obviously, these are not essentials. The only “essentials” in life are oxygen, food and water. And water that turns into wine.

However, if I had a tree that grows money, these are some of the items I’d be hanging in my closet this spring…

I’d start with a flowy , drapey (no, neither of those words are actually words) light blouse, like this one from Topshop:

Then I’d work out every day for 2356135 days so I could wear these mint skinny jeans from Gabriella Rocha:

I’d top off the look with some cute wedges or booties and a pair of Ray Ban aviators:

And maybe a spring scarf. Like this one via Gap.

Oh, and this watch from Kate Spade:

What’s in your closet this spring? Better yet, what are you wishing was in your closet this spring?

Happy Friday!
